Vita launched in 2012 and Sony quietly stopped making them in 2019 — but among handheld enthusiasts, it's become a cult device. Persona 4 Golden, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Killzone: Mercenary, Gravity Rush, Tearaway, Danganronpa, Soul Sacrifice, plus the entire PSP and PS1 libraries running natively via CFW — Vita is arguably the single most game-rich retro handheld you can own in 2026.

Two hardware revisions, one game-changer software mod.

The original Vita (PCH-1000) has the OLED screen — black levels and color saturation that the Slim can't match — and is the screen-quality choice for most buyers. The Vita Slim (PCH-2000) uses an LCD screen (sharper but less vibrant), is lighter, has better battery life, and 1GB internal storage. Henkaku CFW works on most firmware versions and unlocks PSP/PS1 emulation via Adrenaline, plus homebrew/emulator support — a single Vita becomes a 4-in-1 retro handheld.

PS Vita OLED (PCH-1000)

Original Vita with stunning OLED screen. Best screen quality in any handheld of its generation. 30-day warranty. Charger included. Memory card sold separately (proprietary).

PS Vita Slim (PCH-2000)

Lighter, longer battery, 1GB internal storage, micro-USB charging (instead of proprietary). LCD screen is sharper but less vibrant than OLED. Most popular today.

Henkaku CFW Install

Custom firmware that unlocks Vita's full potential — PSP emulation (Adrenaline), PS1 support, homebrew, custom themes. Reversible. Most firmware versions supported.

Vita Memory Cards

Vita uses proprietary memory cards (4GB/8GB/16GB/32GB/64GB) — required for most games. We stock genuine Sony cards. SD2Vita adapter (microSD-to-Vita) available with CFW units.

Vita OLED or Vita Slim — which should I buy?
OLED (PCH-1000) if screen quality matters most — black levels and color depth are dramatically better, and it's the screen Vita was designed around. Slim (PCH-2000) if you want lighter weight, longer battery life, micro-USB charging, and 1GB internal storage. Both play the same games. We stock both.
What is Henkaku and should I install it?
Henkaku is community-developed CFW that exploits a known Vita vulnerability to run unsigned code. With Henkaku you get PSP emulation (Adrenaline — runs the entire PSP library natively), PS1 support, homebrew apps, custom themes, and SD2Vita (microSD instead of proprietary Sony cards). It's reversible. We install it for ₹800–1.2K. Most Vita owners install it.
Why do Vita memory cards cost so much?
Sony designed Vita with proprietary memory cards — they're not standard SD cards — and stopped making them years ago. 32GB cards are now ₹3-4.5K because supply is limited. The workaround: with Henkaku CFW you can use SD2Vita, an adapter that lets a regular microSD card act as Vita memory. We sell SD2Vita adapters for ₹600–800.
Are Vita games still available?
Pre-owned, yes — we stock 30+ pre-owned Vita game cards from ₹500. The Vita library is smaller than PSP (Sony de-prioritized it after 2014) but the highlights are exceptional: Persona 4 Golden, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Killzone: Mercenary, Gravity Rush, Tearaway. With Henkaku CFW you can also run the entire PSP and PS1 libraries — which is why most Vita owners CFW their handheld.
Do you repair PS Vita?
