The single most common 'console is dead' call we get is actually just a cracked HDMI port. PS4/PS5 ports wear out from cable-insertion stress; the SMD pads underneath fracture; video output dies even though the console boots fine. Every HDMI cable insertion puts micro-stress on the port. Over years and hundreds of insertions, the lead-free solder underneath the port's 19 surface-mount pads develops micro-cracks. Eventually one of the data lanes fails: TMDS Data 0, Data 1, Data 2, or the clock — any of the four can take you from working video to no signal or random flicker. Glue won't help. Bending the port back won't help. Spray cleaner won't help. The only proper fix is to desolder the port (hot-air rework station, 380°C, 90 seconds), inspect the pad-witness, repair any lifted pads, and solder a new genuine port back on with proper paste-and-stencil technique.
